Kubota B7100
I love the ideas shown on the customization forum. I have a Kubota B7100 and when the top link is not in use I have just been securing it with the seat safety belt. I know this is unwise as I should be using the safety belt. I have seen many pics on this forum showing a simple hook attachment that bolts to tractor frame which secures the top link. Does anyone know where these may be purchased?

thanks, and Merry Christmas to all

Not sure, my B3200 came with a little wire spring clip that the top link snaps into when you don't have an implement attached.

Some people pull the front pin and leave it on the last implement used, especially if it will be the next one used.

I don't think about it any more since I got the QH.

I don't recall every seeing an aftermarket device. I'd say a trip to your Kubota dealer would be in order. Or if he's not close any brand would probably do. I'm a fabricator/tinkerer, I'd probably design something out of 1/8" rod. Properly designed, the weight of the top link would keep it secured without the clip having to be spring steel or anything fancy like that. If you design one the rule is you hafta post pictures.... :)

A short bungee strap would do if you want something quick and easy. The used snow blower I bought had one on it for the PTO shaft.

I just use an elastic cord fastened on either side of the ROPS.

Agree that most tractors come with a hook to hold up the top link. As mentioned, order one through your dealer or use a bungee cord.

The Toolcat came with one. As suggested, you should be able to make one.

Every tractor I have owned had one, but if yours doesn't just make one out of some 1/8 in. rod. I would fasten the end into a tight loop to fasten to the back of the tractor with a bolt and nut. and tighten the nut so that the loop has some resistance as you swing it out of the way. Be sure to "double nut" the bolt so that the nut will not loosen up easily. This will allow you to swing the loop out of the way when not in use and easily swing it back in place to hold your top link up and out of the way.
