I just put the freedom hitch on my BX-1800 and it's not coming off! It's harder than I expected to move the implement piece, so I'll need to buy separate (well, I might share one between the bush hog and rear snow blade
implement connectors.
Everything fits alright (if you put it on the right way round). It's "oh so easy" to attach/detach. I wish I had done it sooner. There is plenty of lift from the hitch since the freedom hitch is VERY adjustable...
The ONLY problem is front weight. I already have a full set of weights on the front (5x50 lb) and my Woods bush hog is too heavy for going straight up my hill (about 30 degrees). I'm afraid my tiller might be dicey, too... The freedom hitch adds 5 inches backward and about 60 to 100 lbs.
Anyone know whether I can add any MORE weight I'd love to know... Or is this the time to buy a welder and make an attachment for adding blocks of stone or steel on top of the weight I already have
I'm also worried about the pto arm on my tiller - if it will be able to reach the extra 5 inches... I hope so -- or I'll be getting an new pto arm!
