I upgraded to this almost two years ago, money well spent and I love it!

Horizontal Metal Bandsaw (BS-21M) | Baileigh Industrial

It is accurate out of the crate, does miters extremely well, super easy to use, love the fact that the vise never moves, and the variable speed is fantastic.

I've looked at their equipment (more woodworking than metal). Most of it same like it comes from the same factory as Grizzly tools. That doesn't make it the same though. They really need to set up a deal with a shipping company like Grizzly as theirs is always hundreds higher for the same piece.

From my experience they all have the same castings with minor bolt on differences, and different motors and colors.

I did a lot of research on these bandsaws a few years back and this does seem to be the case. It's the motors, damping/lowering mechanisms and vise jaws that tend to set them apart. I mean... how many different types of supports and covers for the spools do you need?

I've had a Grizzly 7x12 I bought used after my research. It has been working very well for me but it does occasionally trip some overload switch (not from heat) which is why I suspect it was being sold. 10 sec later I press the reset switch and it is back running. For my limited use it works great. I have tons of other experience with Grizzly woodworking equipment and they make good stuff.

Happy with my Grizzly but I do wish I had home with a swivel head. If I wanted a really nice saw, i’d go with Ellis.

I picked up this Greenlee 1399 off a Facebook add. $650. I had to mess with the wheel alignment for about an hour and now it seems to run great.

I like the direct belt drive system this has better than the gearbox type. Only because I had a gearbox failure on my old 4x6.

Here is the Clarke 7x12 I picked up for $300. The guy said they bought it at Tractor Supply for $780. He claimed it had very little use but it sat uncovered in a wood shop so it had a 1/2" of greasy saw dust all over it. This photo was after 2 hours of cleaning.
