horsepower to pull a four row planter

I found it on tractor house when browsing one day. I was looking for a four row 30 inch spacing planter for doing plots (can legally drive down the road with it on a trailer with just a standard overwidth permit) with and came across it at what I think was a heck of a price. I am riggin it up with the no till coulters and trash whippers and liquid fertilizer. It has the dry fertilizer on it already. It is a 1990 model 6100 and is in excellent shape. Extremely rare no doubt and mouch easier to service/clean out than the maximerge planter boxes.

The tractor worked great with the four row planter this spring. I put about one hundred hours on with it.

Did ya use the 4720?

I did use the 4720. I put dry fertilizer down, liquid fertilizer and planted at 4.5 mph

Impressive! I'd have guessed you would have "spun" your way down the field to a soft spot and been stuck...!

Are the rears filled? The wheel spacing looks pretty wide, too? Did you use rear spacers, too?

Planter looks to be in great shape!

Wonder if there are radials available for that rim size - tractor size.

As long as the field was dry it worked great i had one spot that was moist on top and i chewed through it and made a mess. The ag tires were great the planter balled up pretty good though. No extra weight on the tractor. I didnt have a problem spinning even going up hill

I have the tires set for thirty inch rows and have a monitor for the planter in the cab
