Dagnabitanyway! By the time I find the threads where wigs are flipping and fur is flying, they've done been killed! I know you can often find the hot thread by the rapid increase in the number of posts, but sometimes they slip by me. I mean, who would have thought a question about radios would have generated such neat heat, with lots of "and yo mama" stuff and all? Then there was the one about the feds warning about almanac carriers. I was gonna suggest that the lack of action on the part of the passengers was partly due to our inability to realize that there are wackos who don't care that they will have to die to do us harm....just like our men in WWII in the Pacific had problems dealing with Japanese suicide bombers...what are they? Crazy? Yes! But did I get to present this incredibly insightful observation? No! It was dead when I got there!

So.... how about tagging the "hot" threads with a flame or something, before killing them, so those of us who would also like to display our mature judgement can join in before they are killed? /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have no objection myself if a thread is shut down, but still remains for viewing.

Also, if someone breaks rules like posting copyrighted material, then deleting it immediately seems fair enough.

But personally, I do dislike it when a thread that is not really abusive, at least in my opinion, is deleted for whatever reason.

When that happens I feel like I am somewhere other than in the United States of America!

I don't like it, but I like TBN even more so I live with it.

Thats a good idea and I see that on other sites. What I would really like to see here is some updated and expanded emoticons. Some one else recently said it would be nice to be able to weigh in and be both smug and silent. I think we need a "nuke" emoticon and a " he he he " etc. I was more than a little suprised to see the FRS one shut down. I guess I missed something other than a good laugh. Personally it doesn't seem much use to me to leave a strand up if you cant reply. It really is kind of useless on a forum, just my two cents. Dave
