Hour meter stopped working

The hour meter is stuck at 20.4hrs on my BX1830...is it a common problem

Check your fuses. Tractorsmart.com can send you a wiring diagram. On a BX2200 the hour meter, lights and fuel pump are all fed from the same fuse.

The engine is running fine & the lights also. So will have to assume the problem is mechanical (gauge itself) or electrical... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Some last a long time, some don't. Kubota doesn't make 'em.
With a test light, see if the meter is getting power. If it is, the meter needs to be replaced. They are generic, you can find them on the internet for about $10.

The wiring diagram is free so it would be worthwhile to have for future reference and to see which fuse actually feeds the meter. My BX will still run with the fuse blown. The fuse also feeds the troublesome fuel gauge circuit on the BX2200. When the fuel leaks around the sending unit it cuases the circuit to short and blow the fuse. I'm sure that doesn't happen on the newer BX23. Checking fuses is still the first and easiest step to solving your problem.
