Wow! The 55 series is the best series Deere ever built. I had a 2555 with a cab, I miss it. How many times have you had to rebuild the engine? My dad has a 1970 John Deere 1020 he bought new and it's been rebuilt 3 times, the hour meter shows around 7,000 but we know it's not right, I used it one day and put 100 on it

I had rod/main brgs replaced at 6500 hrs but still has original piston/liners.

You do know that a lot of "hour" meters read in 1/10 ths don't you? Does 700 hours sound right ?

Our JD 4020 has been stuck on 9,700 since 2001. No idea what the actual hours are.

700 does not sound or look right. Looks like this with the 1/10ths on the right side just like most other hour meters. Dads has 7,000 odd hours on it but isn’t right.

My little NH TC24D is a 2003. I have almost 2400 on it. I've had to have all new gaskets put in the hydrostat and I had to put a clutch in it at about 2100 hours because the center broke out of it. They say loader work really beats clutches.
