House Build 2023

Already sheetrocked and it's wobbly? Darn. I would try toe-screwing some structural scres from the studs (stud finder them) into the base plate. If those short studs are only nailed from below, its probably the joint that is flexing, not the base plate on the floor?

Would some diagonal bracing help, if you put it in with screws between each vertical piece ?

I went ahead and did the nuclear option. I think it will look fine with the glass framed out like that.

It rained enough today to soak everything. The weather is dead calm and heavy with humidity. Calm drizzle is in the forecast for tomorrow. Figured it was a good time to light up the lumber scraps. Here's to what's left of tens if thousands of dollars of lumber.

I do my fair share of fires but I usually don’t burn scraps on the building site. It wouldn’t take much of a spark to set the new build on fire.

It's 150 yards or so away. I also made my piles long and flat so they aren't burning but 6-8 feet high. They are wet so they are burning slow. I'm being a safe as i can be.

Same conditions here, and I have the same plan for today. Burn baby burn!!!!!

I’ve got a clearing job piled up waiting to burn. It’s probably not came a measurable rainfall in 2 months here and no rain on the 10 day forecast either.
