Has anyone seen, or have, a Goldoni Utility Vehicle? Look rather interesting. Woodlot and Sawmill had an article about them. Attachment is picture from their website.

That is a very fancy version of Nomad's Tak-Tak. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks pretty cool. I know their tractors both two wheel and 4 wheel are highly regarded. This looks like it would be the ultimate farm machine.

Have any idea about the $$ for one of these?

According to the Sawmill and Woodlot article the 34 horsepower version is $25,000.

Interesting look. A cross between a tractor missing the front wheels and a haywagon missing its front wheels. Out of my price range....

Ouch! I'd have to look into the 46 hp version of the Toolcat for that much. You could likely get the non-turbo 46 hp Toolcat in that range without any of the all on loader attachments that the Goldoni wouldn't come with anyway.

I may be wrong on this, but I think a local amusement park tried a couple of the Goldoni utility vehicles and found that parts and certified repair shops to perform the work was an issue. I wouldn't necessarily take that info as saying that the Goldoni units break easily though. Have you seen how kids at an amusement part operate the equipment?! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It probably would be difficult getting parts etc unless you a godd dealer to work with. They are not that common in the U.S. market. They sell well in Europe. Looks like the dealer in MA would be good to work with. 25k is about what I was expecting though. It really looks like a useful ATV. Can do things other ATV only dream of doing with it's articulated frame and dump bed that dumps in any of three ways. Definately of of my league though. If I was still at the farm though, I probably would really be interested in this.

There is a photo in our local paper this week showing an ATV club here using a Goldoni Transcar to haul fill for trail repair. I would have thought they'd use a more conventional UTV for something like that, but when you look at the increased payload and the tractor drivetrain of the Goldoni, it sort of makes sense. An unladen UTV could undoubtedly go down the trails alot faster than the Transcar, but load one up to the gills with gravel and you'd want to slow right down so as not to break anything. I saw a Transcar at the New York Farm Show a couple years ago, they're built as tough as a compact tractor. They're well-suited for hauling heavy loads.

I'd sure agree that the Toolcat is far more flexible and the creature comforts are unparalleled. However, that Goldoni can dump to either side and to the rear. If you need a utility dump/hauler, that is a very neat feature. Any way you pull up you can dump in the right direction. How cool is that? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I agree with everyone as far as the Goldoni being pricey. It does seem to be a great vehicle for hauling material. Does have the PTO so could put on various attachments. Problem with this, and all these sorts of vehicles including the Toolcat, is you need another vehicle to load them. Can't figure out a way around that.
