Since he has no FEL attached I have no idea what more toys he has... Sand spreader in the back.

Mine Pulls double duty depending if we get wet slushy crappy snow, or nice powder. I prefer powder :)

1986 JD 318

Thanks, Let's see, you swap out the plow or blower depending on each storm? Or the weather forecast? Good choices.

Nice 318, a real keeper!

Thanks....Yeah what I do is, Since the blower is the quick hitch type, I drop the blower portion off the quick hitch and keep the quick hitch attached to tractor.I have both blower and blde sitting next to each other in garage... I wait till we get what ever storm that comes, if its a powder...I drive up to blower pick it back up..lock the pins in attach driveshaft, hydro lines and blower back on...if its wet slushy crap that wont blow good, I pull the quick hitch off quickly, drop the blade back in cradle, hook up and go!

The way my drive way is shaped, I prefer to use the blower, but when its wet and I am clogging every 5 minutes its just not worth it sometimes.\

I would like to eventually find a quick hitch blade...but they seem to be hard to come by...

Monster318,

That is good staging for the snow of the day. Sort of just "load and go!" You certainly have the process down pat!

I keep my X575 with 54" blade in "launch position" just inside the garage door. My drive is slightly up grade to the road, so my 4X4 is my weapon of choice. The GT235 with blower is on standby.

Thanks for sharing your tactical methods with all here!

I had a plow like that on my Gravely 5665. Also had a snow blower for the Gravely. Mostly just used the plow. Only needed the blower one time to clear 7" of sleet that the plow wouldn't touch.

Now using my JD 1025 like the 4010 before it with FEL and rear blade. The rear blade works great on snows less than about 6-9", as it's much faster than the FEL.

So your 1025 has it covered with the FEL for the deep and rear blade for less snow. A smart solution in one great JD green machine! Thanks.
