The block heater in my B7610 draws 400 Watts (3.3A). It is likely the same for the BX.

Good... no problem then. I asked the dealer and they didn't seem to know. Didn't have one on hand to look at.

thanks,
Ian

Based on the distance, #12 wire on a 20 amp breaker should be just fine.

DITTO,

Make sure the block heater is no less than 400 watts.
When I needed to change mine, the clerk said that 200 was all that could be had.
It simply was not enough and I had to re-install a 400 watt unit.
Maybe 200 is OK for a Gasser but just did not cut it at -25 on my diesel

NB; I also found the hard way that with snow GFI's are not that great.
You know that you are plugged in only to find that snow tripped that sensitive GFI.
I got fedup resetting and installed regular outlet.

My BX complained this morning when I started it at 19 deg. It cranked right up, but knocked and smoked for a minute.

Yeah, my M5040 acted like that yesterday. But it's been a while since it's been started. Fortunately, it came with a block heater and I have electric in the barn, so it got plugged in last night.

I thought it unusual that the tractor came with a block heater, none of my other equipment is like that.
