How can I tell if my 1700 has "draft control"?

Been thinking about getting a Woods LC96 front loader for my 1700. Dealer is offering me a super deal (about 50% discount), but my 1700 has to have draft control according to his guy at Woods.

If that means having 2 levers (one to raise/lower the implement and one to adjust the draft sensitivity), I guess my 1700 doesn't have it.

But other than adding a hydraulic block on the side of the transmission housing for supply and return, I'm having a hard time understanding why draft control is necessary to add a loader?

Any ideas?

Just what you are thinking, draft control is not necessary. Chances are that the kit has a block for a 1700 with draft control. I would think if the dealer wants to sell the loader, they could get the correct block f ok r probably $25-40.

That's exactly what I was talking about. That is a great kit that solves the problem. I see I was a little shy on the price, but the dealer shouldn't quibble over that.

Thanks guys. I sent the link to my dealer to get his input. But yeah, that block should solve the problem I would think!

That block should work and it is similar to a few I have seen on other 1700s. I don't have one. The block should contain longer bolts to accommodate the thickness of the block itself.
