Some one (or more) on this forum has the signature line "Artificial Intelligence will never overcome Natural Stupidity."
I had occasion to purchase a 1"-11.5 NPT tap and knew the square end would be too large for my tap handles; plus the accessibility of the hole in a pump in a pit that I wanted to chase would preclude using a tap handle anyway. My workaround is a square or 8-point socket, appropriate extensions, and a t-handle. I asked Google what size 8-point socket I would need for the 1" tap and was told by Google's AI that, since the tap had a round shaft, I would need a tool to grip the round shaft. Maybe if I ask the question again AI will recommend a basin wrench. For now I am reassured that AI still demonstrates natural stupidity, or at least ignorance.
