How did you come up with that screen name?

Mostly I think they are silly ways to hide who people really are. And on many forums people end up signing their real name in their post. So why bother to post under one made up name when you will then sign with your real name?

By the way I am not really Bob Skurka in real life. My real name is Homer Simpson. Duh.

Mine (MrWurm) is a derivitive of a screen name that I use on some other sites (MrNetwurm). The last portion is part of my last name. The 'net' part means, well, "on the Net", of course. The first part (Mr) is just me pretending to be formal. I shortened it a bit for TBN.

Yeah, that's how I used to think about CB "handles" back during the CB craze. I adopted the handle "Hickory". When asked why, I replied that hickory makes a pretty good handle, almost as good as ash, but I wasn't going to take a chance on how people would pronounce "ash" on the radio...

I think 'OkeeDon' is a good name. I will always associate the name 'OkeeDon' with that post you did on the overgrown land down in Florida. That is generally how a persons username gets embedded in my brain. The usernames that I find hard to remember are the ones with a lot of numbers in them. Names like 'Inspector507' are easy but there are some names out there with a letter then a number then a letter then a number, or a few letters and then 4 to 6 numbers.

Like Bird, I can generally get away with using my real name. It is still uncommon enough that it is usually available. I sure did get teased in elementary school about my name but since then it has been all good. It is nice to be known just as Spencer.

I should have done a similar series on improving low, flat land in Florida in a very rainy Fall, but it was just too depressing. I couldn't even bring myself to take any pictures. I began to understand how Florida got a reputation for selling land that's under water. Tractors do a very good job of moving across 4 out of 5 acres covered with 6" or more water!

When I was a navy chief a bunch of us got together and bought those beautiful Roman-collared dress white uniforms. We called them our Studley Hungwell uniforms. But my friend, Wendall, who was married to a female chief in the group, turned purple-faced when his wife looked at him and casually remarked, "Studley HungOkay in your case."
