When younger I never got into the beer thingy, but lucky for me I found out I liked whiskey..... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Now I live in the country with country folks all around me....most are beer drinkers and I was the only one that when drinking always had the glass in my hand instead of a can. One night sitting around a fire in someone's back yard it was time to walk inside and fix another drink and one of the guys blurted out "hey whiskey get me another beer while your in there will ya" and that's how it started many years ago

funny how a name will stick.....now that I'm 40 I hardly drink anymore...go figure, but the name has stuck all these years

Oh...almost forgot...

I started out with my real name...then thought it might be better to use something else...

So I asked to change the name to Henro and it was approved...

Then I got erased by chance since my name change put me into the time frame where erasure happened...

Anyway, a Henro is a pilgrim that walks a pilgrimage route around the island of Shiluko in Japan. I did that last year and thought that name would be meaningful and fitting...the picture that appears under the name on the left was taken during that walk...about 900 miles in 42 days...at age 55...might do it again in a year of two... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

hazmat is what my mom christened our 17' boston whaler when they bought it for 4 teenagers. I always liked it & use it as a net handle when possible. I know a lot of sailors who use their yacht's name as a screen name.

I would have used my given name which is Daryl, but I just knew some wiseacre would ask me where my other brother "Daryl" was.

Honestly, I don't really know.

I started out with 3050 but changed it to 5030. As I have a Kubota 5030 and 3050 sounds a little to John Deere (which I also have) but don't talk about. Besides, the Deere isn't a CUT, it's more of an ag. tractor.

If you read some of my posts, you may come to the conclusion that Knucklehead is self explanitory!

As with Mr. Pitbull's honest and candid explanation, I often put passion into things I believe strongly. That plus attempting (& frequently failing) to be succinct in written communication might mislead anyone reading into thinking I was angry or curt in my replies, so I tried to temper that with a silly screen name. I've been thinking about sizing a picture of Curly Howard for my portait, too.

What would be great is if I could get a nice photo of my Knucklehead Harley up, but that would require that I own one. Someday.
