2 of my scarifiers have the teeth broke off. How do I remove the old broken teeth? They seemed to be shot peened on. Any suggestions? or should i just buy new scarifiers and save myself a headache?

1/2" drill bit in middle of indention. OR, heat it 'till cherry red then smack with hammer.

They are usually just crimped on. No need to buy new scarifers, just buy new teeth. Agri-Supply sells them for $2 each. Check out their catalog, the bottom of page 40, at:

I took a hammer and chisel and whacked where they slip together to pry them apart. Change the teeth and use the bal-peen hammer to smash the dimple back into the shank.

They just changed the catalog to the September one on the website. Click on your link and go to page 48 or click on the "3pt equipment and hay supplies" menu. It will be the first page thumbnail.

Good! If that didn't work, I was going to suggest feeding them lots of candy and taking away their toothbrush. Those teeth will drop out in no time!

(Sorry, couldn't resist...)
