How do I send a fax from Office Depot?

Contrairly I purchases a piece of property when all the communication were with editable PDF files only twice I did see realtor first to contract her to do the transaction and after the dust settled to thank her... When one can do everything via PDF file and email, got to wonder about the validity of a fax....

To find an income based apartment in Minnesota for my mom and her husband that lived in Arizona we had to fax the paperwork. I don’t know how else we would have did it.

Not to up on technology I would guess.... Any decent printer/scanner can convert any document to PDF file and be sent attached via a email.... Real joke here is almost all FAXed documents are scanned digitally and filed away once they reach their destination and paper copy is destroyed.... So why not just send digital copy to begin with....

Yes. I am. But my 85 year old mother who still has an aol email address in Phoenix was not, she would never be able to figure it out, even the fax seemed like witchcraft to her.

Only if they were purchased 20 years ago! I haven't seen a multipurpose scanner-printer with an RJ-11 port in many years.

Like most have already said, fax is still used for financial and legal stuff, although less and less each year. Email is not secure, encrypting .pdf attachments is a PITA, and folks don't like the virus potential of encrypted .zip files.

I pay for fax capability on my Ring Central service, for my small business, although haven't used it even once that I can remember, in the last two years. It works by uploading and downloading doc's from their servers, they email me a link to download a doc when it's received, and you need credentials to log in and download the doc. All pretty secure.

If sending anything financial, I'd look for a service like that, that you can pay to have a secure account. Otherwise, any notary should have a fax, and probably charges just a few dollars per item. Likewise for any small auto tags business.

Just bought a brand new Brother all-in- one Print/Scan/Fax, MFC-J1010DW, and it has an RJ-11 port. I almost laughed when I saw the Fax functions. Its a crappy device,.... not recommending anyone buy one, but many new printers do still have Fax Capability.

I had to fax paperwork last year. It was something financial,I forget what, but I was at my local bank. And I was able to use their fax for free. Just sayin. I wouldn't do an app. I'd go to bank or office depot or the like.

Yes, we had the apartment manager fax the paperwork to the office Depot close to my mom and her husband in Phoenix.

Of course they were supposed to take a couple of them to their bank and have the bank fill them out so my mom and her husband could sign them and they had to sign the rest of the papers and’s fax them back, maybe a half hour track?

Of course my wife and I sat waiting for three hours because my mom and her husband turn their cell phones off when they’re not using them, when we finally got a hold of them, I asked what was taken so long and she said they were hungry so they went home to eat lunch first and then they were going to fax them back to office.

I tried to explain to her that we were waiting for the paperwork to be faxed back

I think many people no longer have land lines (plain old telephone service, pots), so having the printer that can do it doesn't help much.
