I'm really embarrassed to ask this because I paid very good attention at the training sesson but the sales guy only showed me the new ones on the bucket end that move back and forth in brackets and you just push them in and hold onto the back and out they come. The ones on the remotes are the same style but theres nothing back there to hold onto that I can see moving it just recesses into the fitting. Please would someone answer this tonight I'm trying to get set up to drill holes tommorrow AM and can't get the grapple lines unplugged so I can plug in the hydraulic auger lines.

Steve, You may want to let some of the more veteran members chime in as I'm new to this too but this is what they told me to do:
1. No brainer but...make sure tractor is not running.
2. Cycle the remote valve to remove pressure.
3. Grab by the hoses (yes the hose not the fitting) just behind the fitting and give a quick tug.

It didn't seem right to me and I haven't had need to do it yet but that's how they laid it down. I'm not sure if cycling the loader valve would release the pressure at the remote or not.

I would have waited for the veterans to chime in but it looks like you're pressed for time.

Hope I remembered it right. 99% sure that's how they described the disconnect because it seemed odd versus the loader hose disconnect as you mention.

Good Luck,

Bugstruck...

Ya' remembered good...also sometimes ya' have to push in just a little then give 'em a good yank...helps to release the back pressure on the lines themselves. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just how hard a yank we talking bout? I went out and backed the tractor up under the flood lights so I could see to work on it tonight and it feels like if I yank much harder the fitting will stay and the hose will be in my hand.

It takes a really hard pull sometimes. If you have been working in dusty conditions dust can work in around the retaining balls and almost prevent them from moving. If you suspect that, take an air nozzle and blow in around the QD to clean things up.

To release the pressure on the remotes just move the remote valves back and forward much like the loader joy stick. This does help make it easier to separate the QDs.

Well I went out again and with both hands on the rubber line I pushed it in and pulled out as hard as I could multiple times still no good any other suggestions I might try. I did try blowing off any dust that had accumulated but still no go. Don't know what time Kubota opens in the morning maybe I'll try calling them and drive it over there in the morning its only 10 miles or so.

Ya'll Win I'll have a heck of a bruise from falling back into the auger but they are off and the new ones and the auger is mounted and working correctly. I started thinking about the 10 mile drive on the tractor tommorrow and drank another beer and tried again, pop off they came in one piece. I forgot to mention that I started off my Christmas Vacation with a bang and broke my foot I can't afford to be in a cast so I took off my boots and hat and have been wearing tennies and a baseball cap for 3 days the swelling has gone down some but its hasn't slowed me down much except for walking around, and getting hydraulic hoses disconnected anyway now its why walk when you can tractor!
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!!! Everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Steve I don't know how cold it is there but it is not ucommon to have ice in the outer part of the coupling preventing it from being uncoupled!!
A small bernz-a-matic torch for a few seconds works wonders!!
