How do you engage FEL float position on 2520

I bet if i saw the rubber pads up close that goes on a 448 . i could just make new whole feet to go on the stabilizers on the 46 . i will do that... . I can make anything out of steel. I am **** with a welder and a plasma cutter.
Duc will the stabilizers pick the whole back of the tractor off the ground.

The stabilizers will pick up the rear no problem. Its the best way to remove the wheels and such for service or other.

Make me a set for the 46BH and rubber pads when you get going I will pay what ever

Duc Take a look at the website i posted in the new thread to you. i bet there is some feet we could change to. but its no problem if not. after i get my tractor and think it out a bit. maybe we can get brett to post up close detail pics of his stabilizers feet and pads. on his 448 so i can get a patteren.
and i am sure i can make us some. we will just haft to by the rubber pads.
And i will fix them so thay flip. so we have dirt and street pads..

I checked the JD Owners manual for the 200CX but found nothing. Here is an online view for your reference:

However, on my 300CX, if I push the FEL control lever all the way forward (as if you were lowering the bucket), at the far end of the forward motion you give a little extra push to notch the lever slightly past the stop point detents, the FEL goes into FLOAT mode and allows the bucket to travel up/down as the terrain dictates.

While using the bucket on my JD 3320 to remove snow I tend to lower the bucket somewhat gently until it contacts the pavement (to avoid the loud clunk and to avoid any potential pavement damage, minor as it might be) and then quickly JAM the stick forward into the float position to avoid lifting the front wheels. It gets pretty natural quickly.

It seems that putting the bucket into float mode when raised could do some real damage.

Yep, just slap your lever forward. One fast slap, and your lever should stay in the float position.

I just ordered the street pad kit for a 448 hoe. I am just going to build a whole new set of real big feet for the 46 hoe. to fit the 448 street pads.
the street pads came in today. i am going to get them tomorrow.

I will keep all 46 hoe owners posted...

If yours is like my 4010 you probably have to jam it pretty hard to get it in at first. Mine has loosened up over time though.
