How do you fuel your tractor?

On my previous Kubota (L4400) and on my JD2210 the fuel cap is on top of the hood, which meant either you had to hold the jug while it drained or lay it on the hood. I'm kinda OCD about things like that. If in my shop I'd use a shop towel to protect the hood, but when at the farm I'd just hafta tough it out. I'm so glad I don't hafta do that anymore. Now I'm upset if I drip one drop of diesel on the hood of the 2210. The 9540 fills from the rear so not so much of a problem there.

With all that said, I totally understand the 5gal jug thing. Did it for years. A couple years ago I would have never dreamed I'd pay $450 for a tank/pump. :)

Like most on here, I've used 5 gallon cans/jugs all my life. A couple months ago my wonderful wife sent me a text showing a refill tank/pump for sale on a local online ad system. $450. I thought about it for two days, then went and bought it. It was just 2 years old and the owner said he'd only filled it three times, paid $1040 for it new. Lightened my cash stash pile but what an improvement. Every time I use it I have a big smile on my face. :)

You did good Transfer Fow is top of the line stuff. I think I paid close to $ 1000 for OEM replacement tank that increases fuel storage to 48 gallons in my 3500.
I would have bought your rig fast, Want to sell it ?

No, I think I'm good. I totally fell into the deal. Great elderly gentleman to deal with. Gave me all the wiring, switches, mount hardware. He used it to refule his Dodge while pulling a 5th wheel camper. Decided he was too old for that stuff. I give all the credit to the little woman..... She knew I needed it more than I did. :)

5 gallon can on the hood.
1 foot on the operator station platform.
1 foot on the front tire.
1 foot on the ... never mind.
Pop the hood fuel cover off.
Unscrew the fuel cap and set it on the dash.
Tip the can nozzle into the tank opening.
Pop open the vent on the can.
(On the other can I have to twist and push the filler spout because of that doggone idjit anti-spill safety device.)

My CK 27 has the fuel fill on the hood near the dash. I balance a 5 gal jug on the loader mount and use one of those $10 kerosene pumps, works pretty well. Nothing gets scratched, no fuel gets spilled and it goes fairly fast. The pump takes 2 "D" batteries and they are not terribly reliable (China). My tractor only gets used about 3 hours per week and don't use a lot of fuel so that has been an issue.

Boat owners are quite creative when it comes to getting gas into their vessels. Those message boards are full of innovative, clever, humorous and sometimes downright dangerous methods for transferring fuel from one container to another... might check around there for ideas.
