How do you like your kubota?

But when I'm initially disappointed then every small flaw (in my eyes) becomes magnified.

It's funny you say that. There is a saying that has stuck with me for many years. One of those famous dead white guys said it, but I couldn't tell you which one....

"When you like a man, he can spill his soup in your lap, and you won't mind. When you dislike a man, the way he eats his soup will bother you." When I have repeated it, never had anybody tell me that wasn't true...

Mine works just fine. Biggest issue I have is the PTO seems like it may not be at 100%, but I bought it used, so I am not really sure. It is probably just that I am expecting more from a 31 hp tractor than I should... And I hate the way my Kubota eats its soup... :)

We like our Kubotas.

We have had 4 now, a BX1500 we traded for a BX1860 (wife's), and a L2950 that I traded for my L3400 that I have now. They have all served us well.

Without actually 'sitting' in the model of tractor you are ordering, I think you are bound to be surprised by some things. I only sat in a slightly used 30hp tractor at the dealers. It was too small of a machine for the loads I use a tractor for, and it had the exhaust pipes pointed down in front where I figured it could get sucked into the cab, and I wanted one with a tall exhaust stack. It also had the lawnmower type transmission (HST, I believe). I ordered the m7040 and was surprised when it came with a stick shift. No big deal, just not what I had expected. I had never seen the hydraulic shuttle before and just had to get used to it.

Apparently if the seat fits, you can get used to darn near anything else...if the seat doesn't fit you should fix it and then figure out if that was the only problem you have with your tractor.

Just so you know, the seat "fix" for a decent grammar air suspension seat is around $1,150 plus my time to install and modify the mounting plate. Not really a cheap fix for a new tractor but im waiting to hear how much for the new seat kubota has available for my tractor then i'll decide which option is best for me.

We have a m9540, m7040, and a 1140rtv. Can't say enough about these machines wonderful and tough.
