How do you organize your tools in tool boxes? need suggestions

It could be more of a California thing and maybe driven by lack of consequences...

There was a neighborhood theft ring that hit dozens of area homes... the preps were two boys age 10 and 12...

When one of the boys was 8 I commented to his mother the backyard was full of bikes... I was roofing the garage next door... her response was she never went into the backyard... yep... all those bikes were stolen... I mean like 40

It only takes a few to change the dynamics... and kids know they get a pass... at least they do here... can't even get a police report if a minor is involved... even if I am the property owner.

On the rental side of things... it is no longer possible to not renew or ask a family to leave by giving notice... now a reason approved by the city must be included and submitted to the city for review...

Sorry for getting so far into the weeds... tool organization is important to me and more so to prevent theft...

Got a really good friend - he's a general contractor - roads, driveways, some septic systems & similar stuff. He was just by today to help me with the dam electronics on my new sewer system. I don't have the necessary remote control to change the parameters for a couple to the variables in a couple of the more technical programs. So we had to change a couple of the float heights on the totem pole and while he had his head in the pump tank - he asked me to get a tool out of his van. Wholly Cr*P and Mother Goose - he has the biggest Rotwheiler(sp) I think I've ever seen. That dog has the biggest smile I've ever seen too - don't know if he was just happy or happy thinking he might get to take a chunk out of me.He said - NO PROBLEMO regarding loosing any tools - I can sure see why.

Surprised you are on sewer being at the end of the road on all???

Hmmm - I thought somewhere in my profile I had listed my home address - guess not. Perhaps you have used your common sense - remember all the things I've said about my place and with Google have found it. Hope so.

Anyhow - Lord NO - public sewer is ten miles NE as the crow flies in Cheney. My old septic system went belly up ten years ago - tank cracked and failed - and I got to have one of these high tech pressurized distribution systems. Beings how I designed and inspected on-site sewer system in Alaska - this system is really no problem. Its just the wizard that controls the entire operation -- I have an inherent dislike for electronics that are smarter than me.

And the 'ol whizz doesn't have to be too smart at that...........

No, please Ultrarunner - do not worry about folks knowing where I live. A little company, now and then would be really nice. Lord knows I like cows - but the same batch day after day - and I don't talk cow very well at all.

You are one of very few that I've given my address to in hopes some day you might be over this way. You never know................

A person can't have enough friends and many at TBN sure have provided help and assistance over the years!!!

Now it I can find a foolproof or burglar proof way to organize my tools so they are secure and accessible...
