How do you store your attachments? Stacking options?

I thought I was doing good keeping my implements on a patch of clean gravel behind the shop. DD sets the gold standard.

Due to being on dollies, all of these attachments are now stored out of the way, under one shelf of the pallet rack in the shop.

What you call a 'driving shed' is pretty much the standard Downunder... a closed in barn is rare due to our climate. Mine is a '5 Bay'.

I've put all of my implements on wheeled pallets or customised wheeled frames (as suggested by the good people here on TBN), plus my diesel bowser. This only works if you have a concrete floor which, down here, costs half of the total building.

I've also found that using the PTO shaft chain to lift the shaft up & attach it to the top of the 3pt keeps it up so that I can shove all of my implements tight together.

Nice building, Wagtail. Almost all metal. Is wood more expensive down there?

Ta jmc. Except for the reenforced concrete floor, it's all steel frame with colorbond cladding & roof.

Wood is inexpensive but we've got white ants (termites) throughout the country so it's cheaper in the long run to go metal.

As always, you get what you pay for and, if you can afford it initially, go for the concrete floor. You won't regret it despite the cost.

I've been working on some designs, looking at building permit processes, and completely swamped at work.

I'm thinking about building a temporary solution to get the equipment out of the weather until I can build a building with a concrete floor. Do you think paver blocks would work for the floor or would the weight of the equipment on dollies cause them to become uneven?

Thanks,
Chris

industrial pallet racking can be found on CL for fairly cheep. Usually $200 a section. 10-12' sections are normal. set it up on the back side of the barn and get 3 rows of stacking out of it. (but it does take a loader and pallet forks) then build a simple 4' lean to to shelter.
