( That is impressive Mike! Are the ways/gibs and such tight? Looks like a pretty good sized machine, can't wait to see it back together /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

RobS the ways really look nice, I see no evidence of wear. Everything seemed tight when I was checking for backlash and trying to get movement where it shouldn't have been.

I also belong to a manufacturing forum and here's what one of the members shared with me recently.
Pineridge, you lucky dog, I can't believe this went so cheap. There were three sold by the same guy, the first went for $900, the second for $800 and you got yours for $512. This is a Turn nado, all of them had hardened beds, and back in the 60's when they sold, they sold new for what in today,s dollars would be $20,000 to $25,000 each. These look to be in excellent condition. You are lucky that I couldn't figure out a way to get the thing to Montana in any inexpensive manner, cause I was going to bid on one of those if I could. Congratulations I hope you enjoy the lathe. I wouldn't waste any time or effort on painting it now, I would use it a few years and paint it later. It looks good now.

3RRL thanks for the tip, I will do as you recommend once its put back together.

Inspector507, you are now a labeled terrorist for visiting my web site, you will get no sympathy from me. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Stupid part is, I DIDN'T visit your site. The software read your webite because of your avatars origin, PineRidge7.com, scanned it and kicked it out because the word pistol/revolver was on the one of the pages /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You know the rest of the story from there.

That's really a shame too, because the only way you could even get hurt with one of our props is if you pulled it out in front of a officer and he thought it was the real thing, and that he was threatened. (they do really look real)
