what am I missing here, this does not seem like it work for what I consider a "standard" 3 point hitch.

How does it work? My thought would be not at all. I can't see any use for this???
Looks like the vertical bar would bolt into the lower drawbar, side arms connect to 3pt side links. This would make it a fixed height so maybe only useful for moving a gooseneck? Doesn't seem as practical as the receiver tube models.
The stem of the "T" goes down to the towed implement drawbar, keeping the ball at a set height and stopping twist. Probably made to fit a specific tractor, and not "generic." Maybe sized for a gooseneck trailer.

"Third" point of 3pt hitch is probably the drawbar. Like others have said, specific for a certain tractor/drawbar configuration. Seems like a waste to use the "3 pt hitch" and not be able to raise or lower it.
