How dry I am...

patrick: we were dry, had nothing but rain from april to june, farmers could not get crops in the ground, then from june till latejuly hardly anything, but the last few weeks has seen enough rin on and off to keep the groun damp and the crops and grass responded, but from what i read and hear some of u folks are really in dry conditions. hope u all get some rain!!

Yipee! Yahoo! I got to start my tractor today. Had to clean up the garage. Other then that, it's been 5 weeks since I mowed the lawn. I've got wild flowers about 8" high but the grass is as dry as a chip. Anyways, I'm on vacation this week - maybe I'll get some bush hoggin' in.

Jim,We have also had a lot of rain,Fungus is setting in and is growing Toadstools,some are as big as a Coffee can.

Interesting /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif I noticed your line of toadstools are all in a dark green strip of grass. What do you have buried under there? /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Dave,Nothing under there,we have dark green circles that are 6-8 ft. in diameter and half moon shapes all over the place.A neighbor of ours said these areas were Fungus.He has a BS in Botany,so I took his word for it.

These areas always show up when we have had a lot of moisture.The first time I noticed the circles,I told my wife that had had Visitors from beyond,as they looked like small Crop Circles!!!

I don't know if it's as dry here in upstate SC as it is other places,but yesterday I saw two trees fighting over a dog. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

In southern Saskatchewan the Woodpeckers have to carry a lunch box between the trees.
