I love folks who don't vote, makes mine count even more! Primarys are the worst for voter turnout around here. My vote can even count more on those days!

8 miles to vote..... an additional 5 miles to take the wife out to dinner. She doesn't cook when we go to vote, which around here is quite often. The town is always having some referendum to vote on or budget to be approved. Dusty

I ran a mile or so out of my way on the way to a client site. There was a short line, so I got to talk to an old friend (we rode the same school bus when we were growing up) while I waited for a booth to become available.

6 miles each way. A nice old firestation garage with a heavy diesel aroma.

I like to do it in person, on paper, early in the morning, and get a sticker for it.

They used to do it at our Fire Station, but there is not enough parking any more. They moved that poling to a church just down the street I think.

Our station has an exhaust evacuation system now. But, the smells of 40 years of use remain

I guess I have to modify my previous response to this thread. We have to vote absentee because there are not enough people to justify a polling place. My wife mails hers in. I do like you though. I fill in my absentee ballet, then go and drop it off. I have a few of those "I voted" stickers too I put them on my monitor; I only have two right now, because I recently got a new monitor.
