How Far Off Topic to Go?

" if they do post it's very rare. Wonder why that is? "

Hmm is this multiple choice?

1. They don't like censorship
2. They learned all they wanted to know about tractors, implements, rural living, lubricants, and ...
3. Like a merry-go-round there is lots of noise, lights, and motion but if you wait a while much of what you see and hear seams to repeat
4. All of the above

Caution, reader discretion is strongly advised as some of the preceeding material may be blatantly "Off Topic & Just For Fun"

Now for something entirely different:

This collection of symbols: ^%*()*& % *& !#@ )&*( +":*

In that particular order are equivalent to the ancient Egyptian death symbol and is fatal to viewers within 24hours so if you ever see that exact ordering of symbols DO NOT LOOK as it is certain to be fatal. (With apologies to "Mad")

If someone was to want to get into some heavy discussions without censorship, they could hit the forums here:

http://www.cybersoapbox.com/

Those with delicate sensibilities might want to tread with caution!

So if you look at those anceint Egyption death sumbols, and feelthat within tentyfour hours you have made a fatal mistake. Can you reverse it by typing *:"+(*&)@#!&*%&*()*%^. Thus saving your life?

I do not know if these posts are just to let the poster "build numbers" for their title ranking (gold, platinum, veteran, etc.)

Sorry,
I just fail to see a problem here.
With the censorship being provided,or the topics being discussed !!

Honestly, (all joking aside) I have never known there to be a successful reversal of the Egyptian death curse. Really!

The board has changed quite a bit in the past couple of years. A lot of the long time members don't post anymore or if they do post it's very rare. Wonder why that is?

I consider myself to be a long time member (since 1997 or 1998?), and don't post as much as I used to. The main reason that I don't post as much as I used to is that the board has grown quite a bit since I first started posting here and it simply takes too much time to browse the large quantity of daily posts (using the "last 24 hours" or "last 48 hours" feature).

I generally try to avoid posting responses to the controversial topics but do get drawn in occasionally. I am normally not bothered significantly by the content of any of the controversial posts and would not be bothered if they were to be removed. The biggest advantage to me for removing the posts is the reduced volume of posts.

Like Kelvin, I consider myself a long time member and I don’t get as much out of the forum as I use to either. There is to much talk about this and that and not about tractors. I am not against chit-chat, but there should be more tractor talk. I don’t know the answer to the problem. The projects about modifications to tractors or implements was always my favorite part. The good projects seem to be farther between than they use to be. It would stand to reason with the number of members that we now have that the quality and the quantity of projects would be greater. But they are not. It is as though the only volume increase we have had is chit chat or non-tractor related items.

Actually, I would say that the change in volume on specific topics is likely due to "been there done that" syndrome.
Once you done the modifications you're interested in, you have less to say about them, unless someone asks.
And, because this place is kinda "home" to may of us, you still spend time here each day and respond to what does still interest you. That usually means school. politics, and other things that do affect us all and push our buttons.

there should be more tractor talk.

Jerry-If a person is not finding enough tractor talk in this web site, where could one possibly go to find more? There are over 6000 threads in the big three catagories alone. This is not a stab at you, but an honest question.
