25 miles to a grocery store 10 miles for gas and small store.

5.5 miles one way to Meijers supermarket, only other stores within a reasonable distance are another Meijers and a Kroger 7.5 miles away on opposite sides of the road. There are party stores and convenience stores within 2.5 and 3.5 miles but we never shop there. Until about 10 years ago there was a small IGA in the small town we live near, 2.5 miles distant but they couldn't compete with the big chains.

well it is 8 miles to nerest store 22 miles to the grocery store that we shop @ 23 miles to nerest walmart and nerest home depot 74 miles tc about 24 miles sucks sometimes when you forget to pickup stuff but now i just do with out untill i in town again no more runnning to the store and getting 1 item or 2 unless it beer and smokes that don't happen very often.

My barber is 2.5 miles distant as it the mom and pop party store in the small town we live near. I have always wondered what kind of a reaction I would get if I drove my Deere and parked in front of my barber shop or picked up a 5 liter box of Franzia at the party store....:laughing:

The problem is, to have my tractor covered by insurance so I can use it on the roads is a $750 per year expense.

I probably have all you beat so far. 35 miles in to Cuba, NM where there is a small grocery. (Anyone ever been through Cuba, NM?) 100 miles to Farmington, NM where they have everything you'd expect to find (Walmart, Sam's, grocery chains, etc), 120 miles to Albuquerque, NM (lots of shopping) and 80 miles to Espanola, NM (Walmart and several grocery chains). Oh yeah, Dulce, NM is only 70 miles away and they have a casino and several convenience stores for beer!

I can get raped urrr that is my groceries locally at a couple small markets from 3-8 miles away.

Wal-mart, large super market, fast food etc 30+ miles.
