How fast can your tractor go the road or street?

my ford 8000 goes about 18 mph i think acording to the chart on the dash, at that speed tho the road has to be realy smooth or it starts bouncing and rocking and is pretty scarry, i usualy keep it about half throttle in high gear on the road, or stay outa high gear if im towing something

My Kama 554 says it will go 19.3 mph but I swear it doesn't do a shade over 18.

Our old IH would do 16 or so in high range. Operators manual said any time you are operating in high range on pavement you must flip the lever that locks the two turning brake pedals together. This is to prevent hitting only one of the brakes, spinning the tractor sideways and rolling it over. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Any of you other folks have that feature that locks both brake pedals together on your tractors?

Yes, my Kama does. They're not locked together now because I never go on the road nor as fast as the tractor CAN go. I use the turning brake feature all the time and would probably crash into something forgetting that I had them locked together. It's bad enough when I forget to unlock the differential. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
