The timer on my Maytag washer has failed. I've bought a new washer/dryer at my lady's request. Replacement timer cost is roughly $150 (They range from $137 to $240). Can the timer be repaired? The washer is fine otherwise. I just want to fix it so I can give a functioning washer/dryer set to some family in need. I might just buy the replacement timer but just check to see if I can get by with fixing it myself.
