Holy Lake Effect, Deerlope! You'll get no argument from me! If that isn't the ultimate, I don't know what is. Does it come with a little keg of brandy dangling from the front bumper?
As attractive as that is, it's well beyond me. Got a little savings goal of a Kubota M-series that I don't want to derail.
Kahuna: Thanks for the update on your usage. Glad to hear it at least handles snow on the level. Little bumps and grades I can hardly see will sometimes stop my 2WD on the level; real hills, forget it. And I've got the side of a real hill to clean up at the neighbor's. The old tractor is probably the best bet; less attractive to thieves as well, as I'll have to leave it there for awhile.
Don't know what year HPX I'm looking at. From your post, '06 and later are the ones to look for, I guess. Still, according to JDGREEN, the '3WD' version would be a big improvement.
Thanks for all the responses. I'd hate to spend money on a Gator upgrade and still not be able to work it in snow. That's the only real gripe I have about the old 2WD; rest of the year, it's fine. Your experiences help a lot.
