Now wait a second here... someone from N Carolina saying someone ELSE talks funny LOLOLOLO:laughing:
Aint that the truth. But I am a transplant Tar Heel.
I have lived all over the South, and I have listened too, and spoke with, quite a few accents. I have worked with people from all over the world including people who supposedly speak English, were from England, but it took me a month or so to understand this one guy. But eventually I understood their English. This one guy was from Manchester so JMURRAY01 will understand my problem. But I could understand him after a month or so.
I shared an office with a guy from Korea for years. I was one of the few people who could understand the guy. He was/is one of the smartest people I have ever known. He had about six college degrees. If he would take a few more classes he could have a few more degrees. Really smart guy who liked to go to school. Freak!
On one of my first visits to NC I was listening to a guy talk. He was from the Piedmont area of NC, not exactly the middle of nowhere in NC, but I could NOT understand a word that man said.
Later,
Dan
