I was out in the garden late this afternoon giving everything a shot of blue juice. You can see the size better from this back shot. It is not as long as I thought. Just under eight inches.

It is with great sadness that I announce the fall of the fence melon. Sometime between 8 last night and 8 this morning, five of the twining vines broke, sending the melon falling through space. After a fall of about 16 inches, it came to it's final resting place. Well, really it's final resting place will be on the table. Melon looked fine. Now I just have to wait for it to get ripe.
