How loud is your engine?

I'm curious, how many Dbs was it at full power?
I measured mine while I was sitting on the seat.

I will have to check it at full power when I get a chance. For now I can tell you that it measured 96 decibels with the engine running at 2200 rpm, pto engaged driving a Bush hog 3210 at 540 rpm. Both this measurement and the idle measurement was taken from the seat.

96 Decibels seems about right. I hope everyone is using hearing protection, these kind of noise levels can cause permanent hearing loss.

My 3 cyl shibaura NHTC 30 has always been a bit noisy at any rpm. Lately it has less noise. Seems as powerful- but I'm wondering if I am missing something?

Maybe your hearing is getting worse.

MY TT75A w/ the Iveco is quite loud, hearing protection is non-optional. Part of that could be that the exhaust dumps right at knee level, probably bounces right off the ground and into your ear. But it's not just loud, it also has what I'd have to call a "European diesel" sound to it, I'm assuming that's due to its Italian origin. Anyone who has heard diesel trucks in Europe will probably know what I mean. I'll down load a sound meter app and report back...

Got an iPhone decibel meter app - pretty cool.

Standing on the exhaust side of the engine my TT75A measured about 92 decibels at idle, 100 decibels at 2000 rpm, no load....

I have a dbl meter, soon as I can find it I will take some measurements at idle and at pto rpms. I have no idea why I didnt think of it sooner, but thanks to all for the suggestion.

Yesterday brush hogging trails at 2200 rpm, with spl meter app (thanks!) I got 95 db in the open cab. Can't tell how accurate this meter is, as it doesn't seem to show the differences as much as they seem listening. I know the Db scales are logarithmic but still seems off.
I'm just glad I'm not seeing 100s!
