How loud is your engine?

I thought it might be interesting to check the sound levels of some of the other equipment we use.

Shop vac measured at 5 feet: 80 decibels
Pancake air compressor measured at 5 feet: 80 decibels
Gas powered weed trimmer: 100 decibels

I could not find my dbl meter, so I decided to download the sound meter app that was mentioned... until I found out they are virtually useless. The max decibel readings for the app is limited by the phones mic, from 81 to 100 dbl's on most phones. That combined with the fact that most of those mics dont cover the full hertz spectrum of normal hearing, the results are not reliable.
