How many acres do you own/operate on?

I am so jealous of you guys. I don't even have one acre. You guys have hundreds. I've got .52 acres exactly. Had to make a decision 2 years ago to either pave the 250 ft. drive or buy a tractor to maintain it. If I paved it I'd have to use a shovel when it snowed so I bought the tractor. Pretty easy decision huh? Tractor is a BX24 TLB with a 60" MMM and a 60" Woods rear blade. Got the hoe for ditching..and..for fun:). I actually use it a lot too. Who would' a thought?

*My BX 23 is in the process of digging a ditch for an electric line
Notice i said the BX is digging a ditch not me.
I gave that up once I turned it over to the BX23.

Shovel a 250' driveway? Not even a snowblower? That's too tough for me :). I have a 250' paved driveway (and a parking lot) and used my 2305 and lastly my 3720 cab to clean it off in the winter. :)

I have 25ac that I own, another 25 that I have grazing privileges on. I will be retiring in about 10 years and am planning on getting something abit more comfortable maybe about 100 - 200 to play on. Of course I'll need to ge a bigger tractor or two:) .

Nah. I hate snowblowing. The Tractor is much more fun:).

11 acres. 7-8 is grass, while 3-4 is wooded. Used to take me 8 hours to cut the whole place with a 72' IH Cub using a 60" Woods belly mower. Now im at 5 hrs total, including trimming, with the 3320. I also have about a 1/4 mile driveway with a large hill that gets maintain and fixed regularly.

I have about 64 acres total, about 25 of those are open. I currently have a 2350 John Deere but I am in the market for a new tractor about the same 55hp. This time I will have a cab and loader. I am looking at a 4720 JD and a 4630 Kubota. I plan on putting in a large vegetable garden, about 4 acres, this coming spring. I will be getting a 72" tiller with whichever tractor I purchase. I also have an old Super A Farmall that I plan on using with the vegetables also. Been working the last week mixing chicken litter with mulch I got from our county landfill. I have been mixing it on a 1 to 1 ratio and piling it for the winter. I got about 20 tons of litter so I have quite a bit of work ahead of me yet.

I have 15 acres in North Texas. 14 acres in pasture and approx. 1 acre in woods. Trying to set up a small hobby farm to grow fruit and vegetables on when I am able to retire. I was planning on doing it next year. Because of the market that has been stretched out a few more years.

I own 120 acres, but altogether we have two 160 acre tracts and one 80 acre tract for a total of 400 acres near the Gulf Coast down here in Texas. It's all between mother, brother and I now. All but 80 acres was inherited and all has been family land since the 1800's.

All but about 20 acres is in the most prime area for the sorriest NUTSEDGE that my renter continues to shred late and seems to be spreading. The other 20 acres is in Alicia Bermudagrass that my father planted some 20+ years ago.

We lease all but 15 acres out for pasture, and my immediate family have roughly 10 acres fenced in for a few cows/calves for our kids and an old Gelding we bought for the kids a few months ago. My father-in-law has a large backhoe so we're using it to re-claim some of the pasture that was taken over with McCartney Rosehedge that my great-grandfather planted for a permanent fence line that turned into a permanent coverage. I'm ruining my chances for deer, dove, and quail but I'd prefer to have my pastures back.

I grew up farming, went to college and work outside of farming, but it's in my blood and plan to take over our pastures and run our own cattle again soon. I just hate to buy more tractors. While feeding the animals last night my wife said it's so peaceful out here, and I said that's country-life for ya. She grew up in a small town with neighbors 50' away. I wouldn't have it any other way.
