How many hours do OEM front tires last on average?

Like many people here, I don't trust an hour meter. I'm looking at one that's showing right at 400 hours, but the front tires are worn out. Could someone shed some light as to how many hours, on average, the original front tires last? Thanks in advance.

You must do a lot of travelling on asphalt or concrete AND keep your tractor in 4 WD all the time. Tires should not wear out in even double that amount of hours if kept properly inflated and not used on roadway a lot. My B26 fronts are showing about 2/3 of original tread at 600+hours.

Don't know if I've ever seen ones that thread wore out. Dry rot, split, weathered but not worn out . ( on a lawnmower) right?? Still have the original tires on my 40- 50 year old Sears tractors.

Vigilant, according to past posts, has an X500 lawn mower. So with no pics, and nothing about a different tractor in his profile, must assume this has to do with the X500.
Sounds like it might be alignment of the front wheels. But hard to answer with so little information.

Reading the other posts by Vigilant, he is learning that the X500 is one of Deere's lower end lawn tractors built to compete with the MTD's and Craftsman competition.

As far as mowers go, if you do your turns on pavement, the tires wear out. Turn on grass, they last a long time.

Lower end tractor? Maybe to you. The X300 series are the lower end. I bought my X500 cheap, but I have no idea how many hours it has on it. The cluster was replaced. But for the price, I scooped it up to give it a try. I have come to think enough of the X500 that I intend to find the right one with no more than 400 hours, preferably under 200 hours, within driving distance (400 miles or so max), treat it right, and hopefully it will last me until I'm too old to climb on it.

The fronts on my Grasshopper are trashed after only one year. But that’s mostly due to the sorry scum that throw out beer bottles. Based on wear I don’t think it’s a very accurate indicator.

Same comment. Mower tires don't wear out when used on lawns as there is little to no friction involved. More to the story here somehow.

I think one is being lazy about the distinction between OEM and OE.

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer, the manufacturer of the part used as OE Original Equipment. Any part made by the OEM is said to be "OEM" even if it doesn't fit and has never been used by the vehicle manufacturer. If your tractor came from the manufacturer with Firestone tires then the Firestone tires on your truck are also OEM to your tractor.

OE is exactly the part (or superseded update) used by the vehicle manufacturer.
