how many hrs is too many hrs for a new tractor delivered?

When deliver 1.4hrs....I did expect little higher for testing etc. tho.

Whats wrong with 2.7 hr Mine had around 2hrs between me ,and there shop testing tractor, checking fel, bh, and mounting mmm. plus loading and unloading I thought it would have more.
The night I tried mine another fella came and tried out the bh on the machine I had just bought.
I look at it this way If it going to break would rather have it happen while it is under warranty and still at dealer. Than to have machine at house ready to go do something and it quits or breaks.
Thankfully nothing has happened 2ys 3 mo about 265 hrs

2.7 hours is acceptable. If it had 0 on it I would be really worried, not testing or set up was done on it. And I am sure it was 'Tested' buy many while they were prepping it.

Nothing wrong with it. Mine didn't sit on a lot, it was ordered in. Like its been said, a couple hours is nothing for a tractors life span. I was just curious.

I just took some, since the weather finally cleared up. I'll have them up in a few minutes.

My 7040 had 0.6 on it, worried me a little having so few on it to be honest. So far so good will be calling this week for the 50 hour service and all seems gtg.

Onto the topic at hand, all of the warranties I have seen go off of date of purchase. So I wouldn't really worry about 4-5 hours or even a few more at the dealership.

Mine had 1.7 hrs on it the first time I crawled on, .2 hrs or me puttering around later it had 1.9. I guess if I hadn't bought it the next prospective buyer would have saw 1.9 and after he puttered around it would have had 2.1. See how easy they add up.....

I would think that it is OK. They couldn't find my model any where close, so they pickked it up in the next state. I think it had about 3 or 4 hrs on it. It's a good strong tractor. I have about 130 hrs on it now.

If you know about it and its acceptable, it should be OK. Mine had 0.7 on it when delivered. I guess I got "NEW" -- now 318 hours later ....

G'day i work in an ag machinery repair shop and i would be very srprised to see any new tractor go out with anytihing less than a couple of hours on it. When we get new machines in they always have a bit of time on them and then we always put anything up to an hour on them with moving them around and testing them they always have a least half an hour on the dyno to check performance and to see if there are any leaks/strange noises/and to help cure the paint on the block and to burn it off the manifold/turbo ( i have seen a new tractor that has been doused in dry chem powder from a fire extinguisher due to smoke from the paint being burnt off the turbo). I don't think your hours are excessive and hope you have many hours of enjoyment with your new toy.
