How many keys with purchase

The same key fits both my bolens tractors
my mtd
my brothers Murry and probably most of the tractors at the box stores.

Years ago when I first had a car that 50 chevy key worked in an old 51 chevy pick up setting on a used car lot in pensbouro,W.Va.
My back door key is 2 1973 Mazda keys.

Isn't it strange that one key fits many tractors and tractor models? Kind of makes it easy prey don't you think? I noticed the same practice/issue with excavators from Bobcat.....I got 2 by the way and surprisingly I still have both and know where they are.....my truck keys, well, that's a different story...same for the house.

There was a recent change to JD locks. I used to be able to use one key for all my tractors, which was the original idea and really handy. Now I need two different keys; The all-metal keys for the older tractors and the red plastic type for the new one. Actually I need three because their lawn tractors use a different lock.

All Jd keys the last 10 years of production are the same your 20K compact tractor key will start a 300K JD combine!! Go try it on any jd dealer lot anything you stick that key in will not only unlock the door but take you for a rip in a new machine. But caution your neighbor can use his key in your machine so park indoors

I received 2 and a handshake. (no dealer keyring, just the 2 keys.) A few days prior to finalizing the deal, I did receive a cap w/green and yellow logo and letters. After finalizing the deal the following weekend, received from the dealer a couple of JD caps, one black with silver logo and letters and the other pink with white and green letters for my wife. She picked hers out and I picked mine. They had a nice selection of caps and visors to choose from. The wife also purchased a couple more caps even thou the salesman wanted to give them to us , she insisted on paying for any extras. Was later told the cost of these type items are taken out of the salesmans commission, don't really know, but the salesman was very nice and didn't want to take advantage of him in any way. I'm sure he needs his money a much as anybody else.

I got 4 keys,LOL. The dealer knows how I loose them .

I got one key and had to ask for a second. Gave me one with no problem. Oversight on dealers part?

The part number for a 2305 tractor key is : AM879480
2 keys in the bag should work on all 20 series tractors cost only $6.00 bucks at my dealer.

I thought I only got 1 key with my 2320 and asked the delivery guy about it so he gave me the one off his key ring.. I found my 'second' key mixed in with the owners manuals later that day..
