Oh, so now you can use whatever tip at pressure to get the job done. Sorry, should have finished the setup. 8 at 30psi of the given .35gpm would be 2.8gpm. So you'd have to go lower in pressure or go to 03 tips and up the pressure. An 03 tip at 45psi should be right close to .32gpm. 8x.32 = 2.56
I was just about to ask this.
I did a calculation for 3 nozzles at 5 MPH and came up with 6.6 gpm at 5 mph 5' wide which is unrealistic with only 3 nozzles.
3 nozzles is 60" or 5'. 43,560 divided by 5 is 8,712' travel.
8,712' travel divided by 440 is 19.8 minutes to do an acre at 5 MPH.
19.8 / 60 = .33 acre per minute at 5 mph
20 times .33 = 6.6 gpm at 5 mph 5' wide
I tried to lower the speed with the formula given and am doing something wrong. I come up more GPM needed which doesn't make sense if I'm slowing the machine down. Can you see where I'm doing wrong?
3 MPH is 264' per minute
3 nozzles 20" apart is 5' width. 43,560 / 5 = 8712
8712 / 264 = 33 minutes per acre at 3 mph
33/60 = .55 minute per acre
20 GPA x .55 = 11 gpm 3 mph 5' wide
