No title needed here for less than 10 horsepower. I thought that was common and the reason so many outboards have 9.9 HP
In NC, if it's powered - even just a trolling motor - it has to be registered. And sailboats over 14'.

You'd never know it going by the price of new.The price of scrap steel makes digging a hole pretty attractive...
Probably was never buried very deep to begin with. Around here most of it was just dumped in a low spot, over an embankment, etc. and that was it. Over the years it got covered with leaves but that was it.I'm sure there is an explanation on why buried glass will work up to the surface 60,70 years later!!!
Used to be that way here, now all appliances whether they had freon or not have a fee to drop off. Didn't get a straight answer from the dump attendant as to why, mumbled something about new regulations.Scrap metal includes appliances except a possible charge for refrigeration equipment.

For many years I had an old, derelict pickup truck in the back of the yard that had an old cap on the back. I pulled the engine, transmission and transfer case for another project. But every piece of scrap metal I generated over about 15 years went into the bed of that truck. I was handy for projects if I needed some metal, but mostly it just accumulated until I could shove no more in the bed. Then I pumped up the tires, hauled it out of the back yard, and a scrap yard came and got it and handed me a few hundred bucks. You'd never know it going by the price of new.
A few years ago took a whole pickup load to the scrap place, barely got enough to pay for the gas down and back. After that, just put it in the metal pile at the dump, let the town keep the couple dollars it brings.......
but im saying nature doesnt care about a washing machine, truck, bed frame, or even a rail road.
