Yep, "Moderation: yet another liberal vice".

I always cook the meals at home, and have recipes on my computer, I'll cope good ones from time to time and paste them into "notepad" for easy reference. I make everything from Mexican, Chinese, stews, and a variety of other meals. I mix things up, somedays using a slow cooking to a wok. When I travel around the country I try to buy local cook books from time to time, southern cooking, texas meals, and local grange cook books..

I don't know to cook, but my wife loves cooking, and I like eating, the american way (not moderate).

Sorry, but America's Moderation cannot be divided up politically - hang in there Alex, we will teach you the art of Moderation - American style - first lesson "Buffet". Tomorrow "Happy Hour". :D

I think I paased them. I worked some time in Chicago at Navistar (international harverster) helping them to design a v8/v6 diesel. And all my expensis were paid by my German company that sent me there. We have a "you can eat" here. But not real fun. My guest are full when I get started.

I'm not supposed to have Caffeine, including Theobromine, although I do drink a couple cups of half-caff in the morning. I have to take pills to maintain normal heart rhythm and BP.

I did this today:
pork cubed fried in olive oil
potatoes cut cube size and fried with pork
add chopped onion
add chopped pepper
spices- hungarian paprika, cayenne pepper, curry, cilantro, 5 spice chinese (whatever that is!), ginger - etc
water in with frying stuff - simmer
add cream, flour to thicken (paste first then mix in)
-all in a large cast iron frying pan
boil up some saltless rice noodles- flat
When the noodles are tender add them to the simmering frying pan

Makes a great meal or two! - I try not to cook often because I want to keep eating it until gone - not good for "moderation" and weight! I really do enjoy my own cooking!

I have to do another loaf for tomorrow if I am to keep myself in bread!
