If you have the space it only makes sense to keep them inside. The elements do a number on everything and tractors are no exception. Keep it inside and it will last a long time and still look good.

I keep my tractor inside. At nearly 10 yrs. old, it still looks like new. A co-worker has a 4 yr old Kubota that sits outside in the weather and it looks 20 yrs old.

The tractor, riding lawn mower, car trailer and a number of the implements stay in a heated pole building.

I had a conduit frame over my Ford 800 9attached to the FEL frame) for several years that I could quickly cover with a tarp. Kind of a length wise A frame. eventually built a 38 x 50 barn. Traded tractors, now new Kioti sleeps inside. More piece of mind with new tractor inside - I live 150 miles away.

Inside. I use a blower on 'em before I put 'em up. If I'm working it consecutive days in the mud then it stays outside for that time. Otherwise I'll put it up clean every night. Like a tool, I clean 'em off before I put 'em up /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It depends on the time of the year. In the summer it sits outside under a cover under the deck. In the winter it sits in the garage so that it is ready to plow snow. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I park my tractor and keep all attachments inside. Our vehicles currently are outside, and this priority has my wife a bit confused. But, I say to her, "the tractor must stay inside to keep it looking new!!!" She seems to understand, at least so far.

I keep my JD4110 in a three sided full 8" log shed that is 10' wide and 22' long with a tin roof. Keeps it out of the direct wearher-rain , snow , sun etc. Never had a starting problem.
Some of the implements keep it company while under cover. Temperature gets below zero quite often here in northern Pa.
.and stays there for days. Burr
