How much grease to pump into a zerk?

Thanks everybody, you have pretty much confirmed what I thought. :)

Mostly I want to grease the loader and backhoe pins often, and I'm comfortable with those. It's all those hidden ones underneath that I don't even know what is being greased that get me.

The manual is good about saying what to grease, and when. But not once does it say 'how much' (that I have found).

That one is interesting. It is why the count of zerks comes out as an odd number. Every other zerk on the loader and front end has a corresponding right and left. Except that one.

Well, there is not one.. there are two.. Front of front axle. and rear of front axle zerks.. Lots of folks don't know that.

Good, I'm back to an even number. Was just not comfortable with an odd number of zerks!

Well, on the DK series on the back on the 3pt. there are 5  2 on the Draft pivot, 2 on the right lift link, and the Rear position control lever axle. But the Ck27 won't have that rear position control lever right?

I'm resurrecting this post because I have one addition question about how much grease.
On several joints you can see grease on the front and rear ie such as a cylinder connection. Is it acceptable to grease till you see it pushing out the closest joint nearest the zerk but not see it coming out the back? I only ask because its to blasted hot out and taking a break.

You know you would rather see the lube flow through the whole joint served by the zerk. But, it will follow the path of least resistance. With a cylinder coupling, you may be able to relax the load on the pin and get a thorough flow. Working the machine will probably let the grease migrate through the joint - hopefully.

My front of front axle has a small plug to take out, then grease until the grease comes out that hole, couple pumps. The rear front axle has no plug so I put one-two pumps, maybe once a year, figuring I don't see how grease can come out so the grease must be staying in there somewhere.
My loader is greased quite often, more often when doing loader work and with battery grease gun, I wine the grease right to it till I see the grease coming out, and when using the pto winch, I put some grease on the sliders.

That is exactly what I did when I had that model of tractor.
