How much Hydro oil does it take to refill Class 3

I have drained and refilled my TC35D hydro oil 3 times and it only took 6.5 gallons each time. I drain from both drain plugs. The manual says capacity is 9.5 gallons. How much oil does it take to refill yours? Am I missing something? Thanx Frank

Frank, if you had asked me, I'd have said about 7 gallons without knowing how much you've used. I think there are a couple of gallons in the filters, HST cooler, loader cylinders and the HST transmission & plumbing. The rest probably is caught somewhere inside the casing. I think your 6.5 gallons is fairly normal. That's my experience anyway after two changes.
