How much is your wireless phone bill??

Verizon Wireless is charging me around $130 per month for two phones and one tablet with 6GB of data.
Thinking there has to be better options out there?

I am verizon prepaid and i get 3gb of data for $45/month If i shared i think i can get like 6GB maybe more for $60.

The key now a days is prepaid!! there is no contract deals to be had anymore. Verizon took any benefit away awhile back when they took phone discounts away. I just started this plan a few months ago. I left virgin cause of the horrific coverage in my rural area. But if i were to be in a city i would not worry and stay with virgin for $35 a month for 2.5g which was my old plan, i think its $40 for 5Gig now a days. But anyway when i looked at verizon, cause they have the best rural coverage they were going to be $60 a month for 3gb of data and i had to pay full phone price for a phone that was with a contract. I on on prepaid, have the same coverage 3gb data at the same speed as contract and had to pay full price for phone (got a used one) and i pay $45.

The best deal is straight talk(tracphone) for $45 for unlimited data, but 5gigs full speed then throttled. You can get a ATT plan Verizon or sprint whoever you want. I do know that verizon Throttles your data on straighttalk to 5mbs on the download speed though.

My cell phone bill is zero, zip, nadda and no I don't have an Obama phone either, I have an I-phone 5.,,,, It's a company phone but with all the bells and whistles...and apps.

Yea had one of those deals too, for like 20 years...then I retired and that and the company car (36years) all went away.

BUT I am enjoying retirement. Work is so over rated...lol.

I am retired. I just happen to work very part time for the company I retired from and I'm kind of 'on call' so the phone is my link to the boss, who happens to own the company as well. Retirement is grand, especially with some side money coming in.....

If I would have known what I know today, I would have retired a decade sooner. I retired at 56 1/2 btw. I'm 66 now. Should have retired at 46 but I still had too many toys on the wish list. That list has been eliminated.

I prefer mileage over a car (I could have a company car if I asked), don't want one. I get government rate for miles driven and my buggy gets 37 mpg. If I had only know back then.....:D

Sometimes you only find out how valuable your are if/when you are willing to walk away.

Yea retired at 58, 8/1/15, boss called 10/1/15, any interest coming back part time......NOPE.

Went to my financial advisor before retirement. She said why are you working, the next week I gave notice. I am lucky, I have a great pension and health care, guess after 36 years at the same place it paid off.

If you got the pension and health covered... it comes down to working for pennies on the dollar at times.

Several of my friends were so use to the routine it came as a shock when they learned they could retire with 80% of their pay and medical... which meant they were really working for 20 cents on the dollar.

I admire people that were able to stick to the plan and have it pay off.

Mom had a phone for years... carried it for emergencies... old school for sure. Last year she gave it up... said now that she is always with someone it really was no longer necessary... I drive her everywhere except to church and the market...

MetroPCS here, unlimited with no data throttling for $45 each for two phones (so $90 month total, which includes taxes). Runs over T-Mobile. Samsung Galaxy smartphone were $25 each.

Also still have old old Sprint voice only phone, zero ($0.00) per month but 35 cents per minute. Great emergency phone when out of MetroPCS area.

Thats the problem T mobile and all its mvno's (metro, cricket etc) suck when your out of major metro areas. ATT and Sprint also suck out of metro areas as well. Thats why most of us rural folks like and have to go with Verizon and its mvno suppliers ( trackphone, straightalk, total) . Their signal is just that much beter. I have virgin (sprint based) for the first three years of smartphone ownership. I got tired of the no signal areas where i work. Sometimes i would be 25 miles from the closest signal with them. I got them for price. But since this year verizon lowered the price with more data so i made the switch and gladly pay the extra $10 a month for way faster signal and signal in like 98% of the places i go where before i had signal 50% of the day and that was based off the phone and its signal when you looked it up in the settings.

You have some expensive telephones over there folks. A mobile in the car for any emergency - have to remember to make a call every 3 months or pay a €5 penalty that is added to my credit. Usually call myself on the house phone. A few cents for a few seconds. No monthly fee.

Wireless unlimited internet access €25.99/month including "value added tax" of 23% that I reclaim as a business cost. Phone in the house €7.23 incl. VAT again reclaimed, so a net €27 for both. Unlimited free worldwide calls to non-mobile phones. My wife speaks to her mother in the UK for over an hour every Sunday, we sometimes call our boy, or my sister also in the UK. Worth the money.
