I guess the high tax rates in other states is what is bringing lots of new people into the state of KY. I just bought a 31 acre farm and the taxes are $175 a year. Land is selling around $2500 to $3500 per acre with no improvements. I have a 32 acre tract and a 17 acre tract that is for sale, both mostly cleared, if anyone gets tired of paying those high taxes and wants a good place to hunt. Ken Sweet

Asking 50 million bucks for land that's already been put in conservation (& they probably also made a bundle doing that) which has severly limited the land's potential useage. Seems a little steep. OK a lot steep.

327 acres in the Arkansas ozarks. Wish it was more, but because of
shale gas, land prices up dramaticly.

Taxes here. $450/year. Which is a 50% increase from last year.

That 32 acre tract I showed pictures of earlier is setting on a monster gas reserve about 600-700 ft down in the black shale. I still hold the mineral right on that property. So far have not got taxed on them. Ken Sweet

I have 5 acres attached to the old family farm of 30acres which attaches my neighbors 175 acres, I am lucky enough to have full privilages to be on my families and neighbors acerage and dont have to pay the taxes on it:thumbsup:
