Oil & Fuel How Much Oil is in the Tank on a PT425?

Regl I believe every one has a different situation that they run their machine under, in your case there is a benefit for you but my land has a gentle slope to it just enough that water don't stand on it so mowing is easy. I have one area that has a slight swag to it and I had to dig a small trench for the water to run off of it. Some people would say that my land is flat. I am talking about the area where I take care of, I have mountains in front and behind me that I wouldn't try to take care of,too steep, I have two men that weed eat about 75 ft wide and about 300ft long strip in behind my house and the creek bank in front of my house. The mountains have roads that switch back that you could travel on and a lot of 4 wheelers do that,but I wouldn't take the pt on it.

Thank you MR for saving me a lot of entertainment thoughts. Mr replacing the quart of oil that you loose with a quart of synthetic oil if it is compatible with what is in it won't hurt . By the way Moss you wouldn't have 20% synthetic oil in your machine either because the second oil change 1/40th of the oil that was lost would be synthetic oil and you replaced it with 1 quart of synthetic oil and the next time you changed oil ...uh....well....uh I plead hillbilly on you lol.

I changed to synthetic several years ago and here's my take. If your going to do much field mowing on hilly terrain in hot weather, than the change over is definitely worth it. Otherwise, the original oil works fine.

X2 -- this is especially relevant to the 422 or older 425s with the 12.5ci White RS wheel motors. The newer 425s with the 14.3ci White CE wheel motors should handle the slopes a little better when the oil is hot.

However, I wouldn't trade my Kohler CH25 for the Robin engine, even to get the larger wheel motors...
