9700 in-lbs. cont. I was looking at a motor at surplus centre, with the 20 gallom/min and 2500 lbs it was rated what kind of power is this ,ideas what it would do ie.drive a 84" snow blower or a 13" post hole auger ,i have no idea.
Maybe in approx hp would be someting I could relate to.The reason to ask I have one similar and not sure of it's capability.

A motor with a displacement of 20 cu in at 30 GPM, and 3000 psi will turn at 347 rpm, and produce about 9554 in lbs.

It takes about 62 HP to produce 30 GPM at 3000 psi. So if you find a hyd motor that can use 30 GPM at 3000 psi, then you can assume that the hyd motor with an efficiency of 85% will develop about 52.7 HP. RPM will be 347

A hyd motor using 20 GPM, at 3000 psi with a displacement of 5.5 cu in, will develop 2627 in lbs, and turn at 840 rpm. The hyd motor will develop 41 HP.

If you increase the displacement of the motor, the rpm of the motor will decrease, and vice-versa.

A hyd motor does not have to use all the GPM developed by the pump, and therefore, you can apply any GPM to the motor with a variable flow divider, and it will run, and the HP and torque will vary, based on the amount of fluid going to the hyd motor.

Just courious J_J,
Do you have to look this stuff up, or do you know it off the top of your head? Either way, your knowledge is impressive!

Many thanks.

I know a little about a lot of things, and wished I knew more. Somethings I know, and I do use books, computers and the Internet for data. I am considered an old person, and my memory is not as good as it used to be, but I try to help as much as I can.
